Inspect
A 1997 Corvette being inspected before repair at Fiberglass Worx.
When you bring in your project, one of our technicians will do a fiberglass damage inspection with you to assess whether the damage is cosmetic or structural (eg., cracks, chips, or holes)
Sand
We start by sanding down the damaged areas. This allows us to expose underlying structural fiberglass issues, remove loose fiberglass, and smooth the surface to ensure proper bonding.
Bond
We reinforce or bond the damaged area by applying fiberglass mat or cloth and saturate with resin. Over the years, we’ve developed different fiberglass bonding techniques to ensure it look like the damage was never there.
Mask
Masking is one of the most important steps of the work because it prevents overspray on adjacent areas. We properly seal the areas that don’t need to be painted so you get professional results.
Paint
After primer, we use multiple coats of paint and clear coat to make sure it lasts. We can match existing paint or do a custom job and be as creative as you’d like.
Finish
To finish, we wet sand, compound, and polish for a deep shine. Whether you’re looking for a quick finish job, or a better than factory shine, we have the expertise.

Is it safe to repair fiberglass on my own?

Yes it is relatively safe however, working with Fiberglass can be dangerous for your lungs and skin if you do not wear proper safety equipment. When working with fiberglass, it's important to protect yourself from inhaling dust and fibers. A mask with a particulate filter, such as an N95 respirator, is a good choice. For more extensive exposure, consider a respirator with P100 filters, which offer a higher level of protection. Additionally, ensure the mask fits well and creates a proper seal around your face. It's also a good idea to wear safety goggles, gloves and a body suit to protect your eyes and skin.

How do I get an estimate?

Typically providing an estimate or a “Ball Park Estimate” over the phone can be very difficult. Fiberglass is typically constructed in large molds or parts and cant easily be replaced. Each repair is different and assessed for spider cracking, depth of damage, body lines damaged and lines that can be used contain the damage. Furthermore, how the finishing work will look like; "are there decals or body lines we can work with and not have to paint an entire side of an RV or Boat?" We ask our clients to bring their RV or Boat to our location for a fiberglass repair estimate and work with their expectation of the final product, "does the client want a budget friendly solution patch work or repair the fiberglass damage to make it look like it never happened?"

How long will it take?

Fiberglass repair takes 4-10 days to complete dependent upon the severity of the damages.

How long will it last?

We as a company take pride in ensuring we complete all fiberglass repairs are repaired to a better than factory strength.

Understanding Fiberglass Repairs

Fiberglass is an excellent material for boats and RVs due to its strength, light weight, and durability. However, even the toughest materials can succumb to wear and tear. We offer comprehensive repair services for a variety of damages, from minor chips and scratches to major cracks and structural issues.

When fiberglass gets damaged there’s a lot more than meets the eye. Typically there are stress cracks which reach far beneath the painted surface and overtime water can get in these cracks and this will damage the structural integrity of the fiberglass!

Common Questions We Get About RV Repair in Denver

How much does RV repair cost in Denver?
RV Repair costs can  vary depending on how the damage happened. We have to assess is it structural repair? Is it a design flaw? Was it weather related? Was it an accident? Normal Wear and Tear? This can help us scope out the reasoning for the damage and build an estimate. An estimate can also be based on customer expectations, is our customer looking for a simple fix to get their camper back on the road or does our RV customer want a better than factory RV repair job. We provide upfront estimates after inspecting RV damage, if our customers are happy with the rough estimate, we can get started on a more detailed repair estimate and they can drop off the RV at our Denver Location.

Do you work with RV insurance claims?

Yes, we regularly work with your insurance company. You have been paying your insurance monthly and if you have any damage that was caused by weather or accident, it is covered under your insurance. It's typically better to work with your insurance as this helps us repair the RV up to factory specifications and standards. As we begin the work, we may build supplements to bill your insurance so you don't have to worry about it.  We work directly with insurance companies and adjusters to document damage, process claims, and ensure your RV gets repaired to factory standards.
