What does the process look like?

Inspect
When you bring in your project, one of our technicians will do a fiberglass damage inspection with you to assess whether the damage is cosmetic or structural (eg., cracks, chips, or holes)
Sand
We start by sanding down the damaged areas. This allows us to expose underlying structural fiberglass issues, remove loose fiberglass, and smooth the surface to ensure proper bonding.
Bond
We reinforce or bond the damaged area by applying fiberglass mat or cloth and saturate with resin. Over the years, we’ve developed different fiberglass bonding techniques to ensure it look like the damage was never there.
Mask
Masking is one of the most important steps of the work because it prevents overspray on adjacent areas. We properly seal the areas that don’t need to be painted so you get professional results.
Paint
After primer, we use multiple coats of paint and clear coat to make sure it lasts. We can match existing paint or do a custom job and be as creative as you’d like.
Finish
To finish, we wet sand, compound, and polish for a deep shine. Whether you’re looking for a quick finish job, or a better than factory shine, we have the expertise.

Why do I need to detail my boat?

Regular exterior detailing protects your boat from harmful UV rays, which can cause paint fading and oxidation over time. A well-detailed exterior not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of your boat but also increases its resale value, making it more attractive to potential buyers. Furthermore, detailing creates a protective barrier that makes future cleaning easier and helps maintain your boat’s overall condition.

How do I get an estimate?

Wash and Wax: $18 x (the linear length of your boat). For ceramic coatings and oxidation removals, please give us a call!

How long will it take?

Wash and waxes can take 3-5 hours. Schedule a drop so we can work it into our schedule. Typically you can drop off and pick your boat up in 3-5 days.

How long will it last?

Each package offers protection for your boat depending on how well you maintain it after we work on it: Wash and Wax protects your surface for 6 - 8 months. Cermaic coating protects your surface for 2 years. Oxidation removal restores and protects your surface for 2 years.

Has your boat been sitting in the sun, docked through rough weather, or just finished a long weekend on the lake? Without proper care, oxidation, scum lines, and mineral deposits can quickly dull your boat’s finish and wear down its protective layers. At Fiberglass Worx, our expert detailing team in Denver helps boat owners restore and protect their watercraft with precision, care, and the highest-quality marine-grade products available.

Whether you own a wake boat, ski boat, pontoon, or a jet ski, your boat is more than just a toy. It’s your summer escape, a big investment, and a reflection of how you spend your time. Like any major investment, it deserves regular maintenance and the right protection to keep it looking sharp and holding value.

Boat Detailing Services That Go Beyond the Basics

Boat detailing isn’t just about shine, it’s equally about preventing your surface from oxidation, UV damage, and waterline staining. At Fiberglass Worx, we tailor each boat detail based on what your surface is made of (gelcoat, paint, Marine polyurethane clear coat, Awlgrip, or Epifanes) and its condition at the time of service.

Our detailing process can include:

  • Full exterior foam soak, wash, and decontamination
  • Scum line treatment and/or acid bath
  • Gelcoat oxidation removal through wet sanding, compounding, and polishing
  • Application of Glidecoat ALPHA Graphene X ceramic coating or marine wax
  • Deionized water rinse for a spotless finish
  • Window and metal trim cleaning and protection
  • Trailer degreasing, wheel polish, and tire treatment
  • Interior detailing packages available by request—from a basic wipe-down to deep vinyl, carpet, and compartment cleaning

We use only trusted marine grade products that we’ve personally tested, compared, and refined through years of fiberglass restoration work. Our team brings over 20 years of combined hands-on experience in fiberglass repair, wet sanding, and professional detailing.

Why We Only Detail Indoors (and Why That Matters for Boats)

Boat detailing in Denver with gelcoat oxidation removal

Unlike mobile detailers working in parking lots or driveways, we perform all boat detailing in a controlled indoor environment. That means we can spot imperfections under professional lighting, control temperature and humidity for ceramic coating application, and guarantee a higher level of quality and precision throughout the process.

Ceramic coatings require polished, perfectly prepped surfaces. That’s not something you can reliably achieve outdoors with wind, dust, or shifting light. If you're paying for professional protection, your boat deserves the right environment and experienced hands behind the job.

We Specialize in Boats and RVs for a Reason

Most detailers work on anything with wheels. We've always focused on fiberglass-based vehicles like RVs and boats, and we’ve built our business around understanding the surfaces, materials, and systems that make them unique.

Because we restore and repaint gelcoat regularly, we know how detailing products interact with it over time. We know what cuts too hard, what doesn’t cut enough, and what actually protects your surface long term. We apply that same level of care to every marine vehicle we work on.

Protect Your Investment with Glidecoat's ALPHA Graphene X Ceramic Coating

We use Glidecoat's ALPHA Graphene X Marine-Grade Ceramic Coating, one of the most advanced protective coatings available for boats. It creates a hydrophobic, UV-resistant barrier that repels water, salt, fish blood, and environmental contaminants for a minimum of two years.

With consistent upkeep using our recommended maintenance products, many customers see protection last five years or more. After each ceramic coating, we provide you with care recommendations and the right products to maintain your finish season after season.

What Does Ceramic Coating Do?

  • Reduces maintenance and cleaning time
  • Resists scratches, fading, oxidation, and mineral stains
  • Reflects UV rays to prevent long-term damage
  • Gives your boat a beautiful gloss and color depth
  • Makes post-trip cleanup faster and easier

Interior Boat Detailing Packages You Can Choose From

We offer flexible interior packages based on your boat’s layout and condition:

  • Vinyl and upholstery cleaning and conditioning
  • Deep carpet extraction and floor cleaning
  • Non-skid surface treatment and protection
  • Compartment vacuuming and sanitation
  • Helm and instrument panel cleaning
  • Optional interior ceramic protection for easier maintenance and stain resistance
