Is Your RV Faded and Chalky? We Restore It.

Colorado’s high altitude and intense UV exposure destroy RV fiberglass faster than anywhere else. That glossy finish you loved when you bought your RV? It’s buried under layers of oxidation, chalk, and sun damage.

You tried waxing it yourself. You hired a mobile detailer who buffed the surface and called it done. But the oxidation came right back because nobody addressed the root cause. Wax and quick buffs sit on top of damaged gelcoat — they don’t fix it. The finish keeps fading, the chalk keeps coming back, and your RV looks worse every season.

Fiberglass Worx takes a different approach. We use a proprietary oxidation removal formula combined with multi-stage wet sanding, compound correction, and professional polishing to restore your gelcoat at the molecular level. Then we seal the restored surface with ceramic coating for long-term UV protection. Our team brings over 20 year of combined fiberglass experience, and our dedicated indoor facility means consistent quality regardless of Colorado weather. The result is a deep, glossy finish that lasts — not a temporary cover-up that fails in weeks.

How It Works

How RV Fiberglass Restoration Works at Fiberglass Worx

Every restoration follows our proven 6-step process in our dedicated indoor facility.

1

Free Assessment

You bring your RV to our Commerce City facility. We inspect the entire fiberglass surface and document the damage. We explain exactly what we'll do and why. No guessing. No surprises.

2

Surface Prep & Cleaning

We thoroughly clean your RV's fiberglass to remove dirt, salt, and contaminants. A clean surface is essential for the restoration process to work properly.

3

Multi-Stage Oxidation Removal

This is where the real work happens. We use our proprietary formula combined with wet sanding in progressive stages. Each stage removes another layer of oxidation. Then we apply compound to further smooth the surface and remove micro-scratches. Finally, we polish to bring back the gloss and depth.

4

Ceramic Coating Application

Once the fiberglass is restored, we apply a UV-resistant ceramic coating. This seal protects the restored surface and keeps the sun from breaking down the gelcoat again. This step is why your restoration stays beautiful for over a year instead of fading in weeks.

5

Quality Check & Maintenance Guidance

We inspect every inch of the work. Before you leave, we explain how to maintain the ceramic coating so it lasts as long as possible. Simple washing and occasional touch-ups keep your RV looking restored.

6

Delivery

Your RV is ready to turn heads again. We walk you through the completed restoration, show you the before-and-after difference, and make sure you're completely satisfied with the results.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about RV fiberglass restoration answered by our specialists.

How much does RV fiberglass restoration cost?

Costs depend on the size of your RV, the severity of oxidation, and the condition of the gelcoat. We offer free verbal estimates. Call (303) 585-0515 with photos, and we’ll give you a realistic price range.

How long does RV fiberglass restoration take?

Our standard turnaround is four to six weeks. This is much faster than dealerships, which can take four to eight months. We work on your RV systematically to ensure every surface gets proper restoration. The timeline depends on how many RVs we have in queue when you schedule.

How long does the restoration last?

With the ceramic coating seal we apply, your restoration stays vibrant for 12-24 months in normal Colorado conditions. The ceramic protects the gelcoat from UV breakdown. After 12-24 months, you can get the ceramic recoated without needing full restoration again. This maintenance coat costs a fraction of the full restoration.

What's the difference between restoration and detailing?

Detailing cleans and protects the surface you already have. Restoration removes the damaged oxidized layer and brings back the original fiberglass finish. If your RV is just dirty, detailing works. If your RV has chalky, faded fiberglass, you need restoration.

Can badly faded RVs really be saved?

Yes. Our proprietary oxidation removal formula works on severely faded gelcoat. We've restored RVs that owners thought were beyond help. The multi-stage wet sanding and compound process removes the oxidized layer and brings back the shine. If the fiberglass is structurally damaged, we'll let you know. But cosmetic fading, no matter how severe, is fully restorable.

Do I really need ceramic coating after restoration?

Honestly, yes. RV gelcoats are lower quality than marine or automotive finishes. Without ceramic protection, oxidation starts returning within weeks in Colorado's high-altitude UV. The ceramic creates a barrier that keeps the sun off the gelcoat. It's the difference between restoration that lasts three months and restoration that lasts 18 months.
