Your RV’s Cracks Won’t Fix Themselves. Colorado's Climate Won't Wait.

Your RV's cracks and holes are not just cosmetic problems. Colorado's climate accelerates damage. When outdoor temperatures swing 40 degrees between day and night, moisture gets inside cracks, freezes overnight, and expands. That expansion pushes the fiberglass apart further. Add Colorado's 15-20% more intense UV radiation at high altitude, and small cracks become structural failures in months, not years.

Road debris punctures RV sidewalls constantly. Removed fixtures like antenna mounts, brackets, and exterior vents leave holes behind. Stress cracks develop around windows, doors, and corners from constant road vibration. Many RV owners ignore these, hoping they’ll seal themselves. They won’t. Moisture enters through every opening and rots the wood framing or foam underneath, causing interior damage that costs thousands to fix.

Fiberglass Worx takes a different approach. We don’t guess — we assess. Our first step is determining whether your crack is cosmetic damage (gelcoat only) or structural damage (through the fiberglass laminate). Cosmetic cracks get cleaned, ground, and repaired using our proprietary color-matching process. Structural cracks demand serious work — we expose the crack, grind away damaged material, apply fiberglass mat and resin to rebuild laminate strength, then finish and color match. Our team brings over 20 years of combined fiberglass experience, and our dedicated indoor facility means consistent quality regardless of Colorado weather.

How It Works

How RV Crack & Hole Repair Works at Fiberglass Worx

Every crack and hole repair follows our proven process in our dedicated indoor facility with controlled conditions.

1

Free Assessment

Call us at (303) 585-0515 to schedule a free in-person assessment. Bring your RV to our yard and we’ll evaluate the damage on-site. No obligation, no paperwork required.

2

Surface Preparation

Proper prep determines repair quality. We clean the damaged area thoroughly, removing dirt, old sealant, and oxidation. We grind away damaged gelcoat or fiberglass, exposing solid material underneath. Grinding removes weak layers and creates a surface that accepts repair material properly.

3

Repair

For cosmetic cracks, we apply proprietary gelcoat filler, sand smooth, and color match using our advanced matching system. For structural cracks, we apply fiberglass mat and resin lamination, building the fiberglass back to original thickness and strength. Holes get filled with resin and reinforced with fiberglass, creating a solid base.

4

Finish & Color Match

All repairs get shaped, sanded, and finished to factory appearance. Our color-matching process accounts for fiberglass fading and aging. The repair disappears. Your RV looks undamaged.

5

Quality Inspection

Every repair gets inspected before your RV leaves our facility. We verify structural integrity, check color match, and ensure finish quality. If something doesn't meet our standards, we redo it.

6

Delivery

Your RV is ready. We walk you through the completed repairs, answer any questions, and make sure you're satisfied before you leave. Tell us what you need and we will handle the rest.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about RV crack and hole repair answered by our fiberglass specialists.

How much does RV crack and hole repair cost?

Costs depend on damage size, type, and whether it's cosmetic or structural. Cosmetic cracks run 150-400 dollars. Structural repairs typically 400-1200 dollars. Puncture holes 200-600 dollars depending on location and size. We provide free estimates so you know exact cost before we start work.

How long does RV crack repair take?

We deliver 4-6 week turnaround on most repairs. That's dramatically faster than dealership standard of 4-8 months. Timeline depends on repair scope, our current workload, and cure time for materials. We give you a specific timeline when we provide your estimate.

What's the difference between cosmetic and structural crack repair?

Cosmetic cracks only affect the gelcoat surface layer - they're visible but don't compromise fiberglass strength. Structural cracks run through the fiberglass laminate and require serious repair with mat and resin lamination. We assess which type you have and repair accordingly.

Can I ignore small cracks on my RV?

No. Small cracks trap moisture. In Colorado, freeze-thaw cycles force that moisture into the fiberglass, expanding it and growing the crack. Interior foam and wood framing rot. What starts as a small 50-dollar repair becomes a 2000-dollar interior restoration. Address cracks early.

How does Colorado's freeze-thaw cycle damage RV fiberglass?

Colorado's 40+ degree temperature swings mean moisture gets into cracks during warm days. Overnight freezing expands that moisture. That expansion pushes fiberglass apart and enlarges the crack. This cycle repeats constantly, accelerating damage. Sealed and reinforced fiberglass prevents this cycle.

Will my insurance cover RV crack repair?

That depends on your policy and the cause of damage. Hail damage is often covered. Road debris damage may be covered. Freeze-thaw damage typically isn't. We'll document your damage and provide detailed information for your insurance claim. Contact your insurer for specifics.

How do you color match fiberglass repairs?

We use an advanced color-matching system that accounts for fiberglass fading and aging. We test matches in natural light. The goal is invisible repairs - no one should see the damage was ever there. Our proprietary gelcoat compounds match factory finishes.

Do you repair all types of RV cracks and holes?

Yes. We handle stress cracks, impact cracks, spider cracks, puncture holes, and window or door frame cracks on all RV types. Class A, Class B, Class C motorhomes, fifth wheels, travel trailers, and toy haulers. If your RV has fiberglass damage, we can repair it. When other companies say no, we say yes.
