Is it safe to repair fiberglass on my own?

Yes it is relatively safe however, working with Fiberglass can be dangerous for your lungs and skin if you do not wear proper safety equipment. When working with fiberglass, it's important to protect yourself from inhaling dust and fibers. A mask with a particulate filter, such as an N95 respirator, is a good choice. For more extensive exposure, consider a respirator with P100 filters, which offer a higher level of protection. Additionally, ensure the mask fits well and creates a proper seal around your face. It's also a good idea to wear safety goggles, gloves and a body suit to protect your eyes and skin.

How do I get an estimate?

Typically providing an estimate or a “Ball Park Estimate” over the phone can be very difficult. Fiberglass is typically constructed in large molds or parts and cant easily be replaced. Each repair is different and assessed for spider cracking, depth of damage, body lines damaged and lines that can be used contain the damage. Furthermore, how the finishing work will look like; "are there decals or body lines we can work with and not have to paint an entire side of an RV or Boat?" We ask our clients to bring their RV or Boat to our location for a fiberglass repair estimate and work with their expectation of the final product, "does the client want a budget friendly solution patch work or repair the fiberglass damage to make it look like it never happened?"

How long will it take?

Fiberglass repair takes 4-10 days to complete dependent upon the severity of the damages.

How long will it last?

We as a company take pride in ensuring we complete all fiberglass repairs are repaired to a better than factory strength.
