What does the process look like?

Inspect
When you bring in your project, one of our technicians will do a fiberglass damage inspection with you to assess whether the damage is cosmetic or structural (eg., cracks, chips, or holes)
Sand
We start by sanding down the damaged areas. This allows us to expose underlying structural fiberglass issues, remove loose fiberglass, and smooth the surface to ensure proper bonding.
Bond
We reinforce or bond the damaged area by applying fiberglass mat or cloth and saturate with resin. Over the years, we’ve developed different fiberglass bonding techniques to ensure it look like the damage was never there.
Mask
Masking is one of the most important steps of the work because it prevents overspray on adjacent areas. We properly seal the areas that don’t need to be painted so you get professional results.
Paint
After primer, we use multiple coats of paint and clear coat to make sure it lasts. We can match existing paint or do a custom job and be as creative as you’d like.
Finish
To finish, we wet sand, compound, and polish for a deep shine. Whether you’re looking for a quick finish job, or a better than factory shine, we have the expertise.

Protect Your Rig with Professional RV Roof Repair in Denver

High quality RV Roof Restoration & Coating by Fiberglass Worx in Commerce City, CO

Is your RV roof showing signs of damage, wear, or leaking seams? Whether you’re dealing with punctures, dried-out sealant, water stains inside, or just aging materials, your roof is the first and most important line of defense against the elements. At Fiberglass Worx, we specialize in RV roof repair, replacement, and premium coating services for motorhomes, trailers, and fifth wheels across the Denver area.

We don’t cut corners with one-size-fits-all patch jobs or temporary sealants. Our experienced technicians evaluate your entire roof system, from substrate to membrane, and perform long-lasting repairs using industry-trusted materials, quality craftsmanship, and fiberglass expertise you won’t find at general body shops.

What Kind of RV Roof Damage Do We Repair?

We’ve seen it all. From hailstorms in Colorado to sun-baked rubber membranes, your RV roof takes a beating. Here are some of the most common roof issues we repair:

  • Cracked or shrinking rubber roofs (TPO/EPDM)
  • Deteriorated sealant and open seams
  • Roof membrane punctures, gouges, or blisters
  • Fiberglass stress cracks
  • Water intrusion or soft spots in roof decking
  • Hail dents and surface pitting
  • Leaking around roof accessories (vents, ACs, skylights, etc.)

Our process includes a full roof inspection so you’re not left guessing. We’ll walk you through the recommended solution step by step.

Should I go with an RV Roof Coating vs Roof Repair?

Not every roof needs to be fully replaced. In many cases, a professionally applied RV roof coating can restore waterproof protection, improve insulation, and extend the life of your roof without the cost of a full tear off. At Fiberglass Worx, we apply high-performance elastomeric and silicone based coatings that are specifically designed for RVs. These aren’t off-the-shelf hardware store products. Every coating is applied indoors in a controlled environment, with proper surface prep, adhesion testing, and professional equipment to ensure long-term performance.

A premium RV roof coating creates a seamless, leak-resistant barrier across your entire roof. It provides superior UV protection, reducing cracking and heat transfer into the cabin. Coated roofs are easier to maintain, require fewer resealing touch ups, and clean up with less effort. Compared to a full roof replacement, coatings are often more affordable and less invasive. Whether your rig has a worn out TPO membrane, aging Dicor sealant, or a patchwork of older repairs, we’ll help you determine whether a coating is the right long-term solution for your roof.

Our RV Roof Repair Process

We believe in doing the job once and doing it right.

  1. Inspection & Prep
We remove old sealants, clean the surface, and check for underlying damage. Any soft spots or water intrusion are addressed first.
  2. Structural Repairs
Damaged plywood or OSB decking is replaced. Vents, skylights, and other components are resealed or replaced as needed.
  3. Roof Membrane or Coating Application
Based on the condition and material of your roof, we either install a new rubber membrane (TPO/EPDM) or apply a thick, commercial-grade coating system.
  4. Final Inspection & Leak Test
Before any job is considered complete, we double-check all seams, penetrations, and transitions with a full leak inspection.
  5. Care Instructions
You'll leave with proper maintenance tips, optional re-seal schedules, and product recommendations to keep your roof protected long term.

FAQs About RV Roof Repair

How do I know if my RV roof needs repair?
Look for water stains inside your RV, cracked sealant, visible roof damage, or aging material. If your RV roof is over 10 years old, it’s worth getting inspected.

Can you coat over a damaged rubber roof?
Only if the underlying structure is solid. We’ll inspect the substrate first. In many cases, we’ll recommend removing and replacing sections before applying a coating.

What type of coating do you use?
We use commercial-grade silicone and elastomeric coatings that outperform typical DIY RV roof products. These are designed for long-term UV, water, and impact resistance.

How long does it take?
Most repairs or coatings are completed in 3 to 5 business days depending on the condition and scope.

Do you handle insurance claims?
Yes. We work directly with insurance companies and adjusters to streamline roof damage claims.
